چکیده
Various volatile aerosols have been associated with adverse health effects; however, characterization of these is challenging due to their dynamic nature. Here we present a method that directly measures the volatility particulate matter (PM) using computational microscopy and deep learning. This was applied generated by electronic cigarettes (e-cigs), which vaporize liquid mixture (e-liquid) mainly consists propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerin (VG), nicotine, flavoring compounds. E-cig were recorded field-portable microscope, an impaction-based air sampler. A lensless digital holographic microscope inside this mobile device continuously records inline holograms collected particles. learning-based algorithm used automatically reconstruct microscopic images e-cig particles from holograms, rapidly quantify volatility. To evaluate effects e-liquid composition on aerosol dynamics, measured flavorless, nicotine-free e-liquids various PG/VG volumetric ratios, revealing negative correlation between particles' ratio VG in e-liquid. For given composition, addition nicotine dominated evaporation dynamics aforementioned no longer observed. We also revealed additives significantly decrease aerosol. The presented measurement technique might provide new insights can be characterize PM.

testing plays a vital role in any language teaching program. it allows teachers and stakeholders, including program administrators, parents, admissions officers and prospective employers to be assured that the learners are progressing according to an accepted standard (douglas, 2010). the problems currently facing language testers have both practical and theoretical implications but the first i...
Imaging bacterial 3D motion using digital in-line holographic microscopy and correlation-based de-noising algorithm.
Better understanding of bacteria environment interactions in the context of biofilm formation requires accurate 3-dimentional measurements of bacteria motility. Digital Holographic Microscopy (DHM) has demonstrated its capability in resolving 3D distribution and mobility of particulates in a dense suspension. Due to their low scattering efficiency, bacteria are substantially difficult to be ima...

DNA damage can be caused by a variety of external and internal factors and together with cellular responses, can establish genomic instability through multiple pathways. DNA damage therefore, is considered to play an important role in the aetiology and early stages of carcinogenesis. The DNA-damage inducing potential of tobacco smoke aerosols in vitro has been extensively investigated; however,...
